Raison Brothers

Does anybody know why raison brothers are so expensive? I went in there to buy a landing net and pole which cost me altogether £15! The pole was £5 and the net itself £10. Went into another couple of tackle shops and saw that you culd buy aLanding Net and Keepnet with the poles that were adjustable for £19.99.

I would think if you had paid the other £5.00 in Raisons you could have bought an ajustable handl there as well and I bet if you went back they would change it for you.

I have lived in Ash Vale and Farnborough all 44 years of my lifetime and will always support my local tackle shop. From when I was an 8 year old novice and John Raison would pile in the maggots for your 50p asking and send you off with whatever extra freebie he had lying around at the time.

The shop is there for free advice, good service and a quality selection of the latest and best on the market in terms of tackle.

Sure you can buy cheaper elsewhere, try the web or the mail direct sites but if you want local knowledge, advice from a World Champion or just the guarantee that you will get the best that is available in the shop at the time then stay with your local tackle dealer.

I recently had my Godson's 70 year old grandmother ask me about buying a new general  purpose coarse reel for her grandson for Christmas. My reply was " Go into Raisons and ask their advice" She did and came out with a Shimano Exage 4000

Not the most expensive reel in the shop but exactly the requirements that were asked for.

And at a competitive price too.
