AGM

The AGM has been booked for Tuesday 7th Feb at 8pm. Venue is Ash Football and Social club, Youngs Drive, Ash. click here to read the calling notice.

On Sunday 3rd July 2011 the Bob Bennett charity match was fished at Shawfields lake and we have had the following response from the organisers.

On behalf of the angling Sections of the Grenadiers Guards, the Aldershot Garrison, the Environmental Agency and ourselves, the Surrey Police may I say a huge 'thank you' for the use of your water at Shawfields for the above Match last Sunday.
The weather was kind to us, the fishing was far better than last year and the result was quite exciting at the end with three of the Teams within one point of each other.
The Environmental Agency won with 11 pts, the Garrison next with 12 pts and we were third with 13 pts (and we were one man short). The top weight was 37lb of mainly bream with the biggest fish weighing in at 4.9oz.
After the Match we retired to the Lion Brewery pub in Ash for a meal and where the eldest son of Bob Bennett turned up to present the prizes and socialise with the anglers. The event is run as a charity event for the RSPB, Bobs favourite Charity, and at the end of the day I will be sending a cheque for £225 to them as a result of this Match.

Thank you again and please pass on these sentiments to your Committee.

Exchange Tickets

Farnborough and District Angling Society has an association with the Hartley Wintney angling society (http://hartleywintneyanglingsociety.org) and Portsmouth and District Angling Society (http://www.portsmouthdas.co.uk) and as a result of this association, the clubs offer a reciprocal arrangement which allows the Farnborough and District Angling Society members to fish the other societies waters.

To take advantage of this offer you need to 'exchange' your FADAS membership booklet at either Tackle Up in Fleet for the Hartley Wintney ticket or Hampshire Tackle in Aldershot for the Portsmouth ticket

There are 2 ways to get your permit.
By post from FADAS or collect it yourself.
If you collect from either Hampshire Tackle,Aldershot or Tackle Up in Fleet you will still have to get a night ticket from FADAS, should you need one.
